Company Overview
Bold Technologies emerged as the industry leader in central station and alarm company software in 1981. Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bold is privately held and employs 40 staff people in software engineering, technical support, and management.
History
Formerly known as Bradley On-Line Data Systems, Bold Technologies created the Bold Central Station Automation System and through the years shaped the development of contemporary alarm monitoring by introducing faster and more sophisticated software innovations. Additionally, Bold helped define critical new standards for security information management and made professional automation accessible to every central station by offering cost-effective packages for every application.
Bold Manitou
In 2002, Bold Technologies introduced the totally redesigned and revolutionary automation package, Manitou. The first and only true Windows® based alarm automation software, Manitou takes full advantage of a three-tier architecture with the Windows 2000 operating system at the core. Manitou delivers One Point of Control, which removes the requirement for central stations to maintain multiple systems, and allowing them to immediately realize a reduction in data entry time, operator error and training over multiple systems. Developed to be scalable for super central stations, smaller monitoring stations and everything in between, Manitou incorporates the latest technology including Automated Actions, Audio/Video integration and remote connectivity via the Internet and PDA.
Bold Partnerships
Bold has partnered with Perennial Software to offer SedonaOffice, a business management suite of products designed specifically for the alarm industry. In 2002, Bold rounded out its product line by undergoing the rigorous certification process to become a Navision Certified Solutions Center customizing and offering an enterprising financial management solution designed for the alarm industry. Navision, a leader in the financial software industry with over 20 years of experience, was recently acquired by Microsoft and incorporated into their Microsoft Business Solutions product line.
Moving Forward
Today, Bold continues to foster solid growth in central stations of every size and shape, through dynamic new advances in software controls and system architecture, coupled with truly integrated accounting, automated sales programs, computerized customer service management, and innovative products like Bold MediaGateway, which won the ESX Impact Award in 2009.
Bold continues to support CSAA through staff volunteer hours, and through financial support of central stations seeking 5-Diamond Certification.
