Manitou Client

  • Presents a logical user interface
  • Navigator Tool allows you to see your open “windows” and quickly access recently/frequently used tools and information.
  • The Application Frame gives you a highly organized view of the information that you need. We have incorporated the use many hotkeys and shortcuts to make your job easier. 
  • The Status Bar provides you with basic summary alarm information. Current alarm counts are arranged in priority order and color-coded to show critical response information.

Action Patterns

  • Operators are presented with a preset alarm handling action plan which eliminates the need to read countless pop-up screens or free format notes. 
  • Setup a Rotating Call-List that will present the proper contact to the operator. Call-lists can rotate based on a given number of days and even be applied to a daily schedule.
  • Establish contact via phone, email, fax, text message, or pager.
  • Setup “one-key” actions to log comments, email an alarm report, suspend alarms, or automatically close the alarm with a specified resolution code.

Alarm Handling

  • The customer log is displayed on the alarm screen allowing the operator to view past history without navigating to another screen.
  • Multi-layered site plans can be imported into the system and displayed giving operators a visual guide to assist responding authorities.

Auto Client

  • Automatically handles specified alarm events without operator intervention. Non-emergency alarms can be configured to automatically send a text message, email, or fax to the service department and then suspend or close the alarm. This useful module frees up valuable operator resources and allows them to concentrate on critical situations.
  • The Reverse Channel feature allows operators and technicians to send a signal back to the transmitter/control panel at the customer’s site.
  • You can save technician time by restoring zones that may have been left unrestored during a test situation.
  • Create revenue opportunities by offering your customers the added service of remotely arming their alarm system if they forget.

Customer Maintenance

  • Create, store, and access vital customer information
  • Customizable “New Customer” wizard allows you to enter customer information is a manner that is logical to YOU!
  • Manitou allows for the import of customer contact (keyholder) pictures for possible visual verification of identity.
  • Global keyholder, dealer, and authority information can be updated once and be applied to all affected accounts.
  • You can easily generate reports for one-time OR recurring distribution.

Supervisor’s Workstation

  • View the alarm queue showing all current alarm traffic in addition to response times and operator performance.
  • Setup users groups and permissions. Access to individual application areas can be read only or full privilege.
  • Change event definitions and signal mapping in addition to defining priorities and color codes to alarm events.
  • Add/manage system hardware (receivers and line cards, client stations, server functionality, etc.) as your business needs change and grow.
  • Monitor all of the system functions and resources and recieve reports of any warnings, errors, or failures using Manitou’s Watchdog feature. This software process can be interfaced with a hardware device that provides you with an audible alert (siren) and visual flashing display (included in the UL Module).
