Course Prerequisites
• Working Knowledge of Manitou
• Familiar with Supervisor Workstation Settings
• Basic Understanding of IT Hardware and Networks
• Experience with Manitou from an Operator Perspective
Who should attend this course?
• Central Station Managers responsible for maintaining Manitou.
• Central Station Managers reporting to upper level management on business objectives as they relate to Manitou and central station operations.
• Central Station Supervisors and Lead Operators responsible for day-to-day operator functions, and for the training of central station staff.
Course Objectives
• Improve knowledge in order to utilize the features of Manitou and more eff ectively manage your monitoring center.
• Understand basic Information Technology (IT) fundamentals and how they apply to your Manitou system.
• Understand replication, backups, and the Manitou Database Manager (MDM) so you can confidently handle a failover situation.
• Effectively manage advanced features of Manitou, including programming and reporting, to increase efficiency in your Monitoring Center.
• Better understand how signals process through the Manitou system.

Caryn Morgan
Caryn Morgan began working at Bold eleven years ago when the Manitou product was in its infancy and has helped guide both our customers and product to success. She has served the company in many capacities including, technical writing, quality assurance testing, account management, business development, data analysis and training. Caryn will complete her Masters degree in Adult Education and Training in July 2012.
Bob Bishop
Bob has been with Bold since 2000, serving in various roles within the organization including quality assurance, customer care, training, sales, and product control. As an expert with over 15 years of experience in the design and implementation of computer systems ranging from educational applications to life/safety mission critical
applications, Bob has collaborated with hundreds of central stations and proprietary control rooms. He enjoys working with customers through detailed business analysis to solve complex operational challenges and conducting experiential adult training. Bob holds a Master of Science in Management in Information Technology and Project Management from Colorado Technical University as well as numerous IT-based certifications including Network Administration, Database Management, Systems Analysis, and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications.
