Tip of the Week : Adding Data To A Script Message - Bill Fox

Posted in [Alarm Automation], [Product Information], [Tips] By Brandon Lilly
Say you have a customer who wants to be notified by email when an opening or closing report is received by the Central Station.
Besides the date, time and event description, the customer wants the message to include the name of the user that opened or closed and most customers prefer to see the name of the person who armed or disarmed the panel instead of a user number.

Maniou can help.

To add the name of the user to the script message, use script code {CM} - Event Comment

Steps to add:

1. Open Supervisor workstation

2. Go to:
a. Maintenance
b. Script Messages

3. Click on Edit and select Script message that needs to be modified. Place cursor where you want the new script code.

4. Hightlight script code {CM} and clik on add.

- Script message should look something like this.
A {ET} alarm occurred on {DT} at {TM} by {CM}.

For an opening signal the message might read.  "An Opening occurred on 11/01/2010 at 08:00 by John Smith".

5. Click on save.

You're all finished!

Please contact our support department if you have additional questions.
