Tip of the Week : Internal RTF Viewer - Shaun Blair

Posted in [Tips] By Brandon Lilly

Ever try to pull a report from Manitou and it just doesn't show up correctly? Occasionally when you are reviewing or launching and report directly from the Manitou client, the information will not display properly or the body of the document will be blank if it is being viewed in Microsoft Word or some other program.

In general it is always best practice to use the internal RTF viewer.  The viewer is built into the Manitou client and  displays information properly when it does not work in the default program that is installed on your system.

This is especially helpful when viewing custom reports that are rendered using the Aspose rendering program for SQL Server Reporting Services.  To activate the internal RTF viewer choose File à Properties and select “Use internal RTF viewer for reports” from within the Manitou client.
