2010 Bold Team for the Cure

Posted in [Bold Life], [Uncategorized] By Anna Haiar

Three years ago, we formed our first-ever Bold Team for the Cure. Each year, the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation hosts the Race for the Cure in order to raise money to fund breast cancer research, medical services and prevention care.

In what can only be described as a surreal experience, survivors, supporters, friends, and families of breast cancer victims run or walk the 5k course around beautiful Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.  Everyone who participates talks about what a fulfilling experience it is to be part of such a great cause and support a worthy charity like the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

For 2010, Bold is aiming to have a record number of employees and their friends and family join our team. Each year, 1.3 million people are diagnosed with breast cancer. It is the most widespread form of cancer and currently, there is no cure. Donations to the Bold Team for the Cure will help fund breast health programs in Colorado Springs and surrounding cities, and a portion of the raised proceeds will go to national breast cancer research. Considering the difficult economic times, funding for local programs like mammograms, cancer screenings and support therapy are vital for breast cancer sufferers, survivors and their families, especially when they can’t afford them on their own.

Please consider donating to our Bold Team for the Cure. Your donations are tax-deductible and will go a long way toward finding a cure for breast cancer. To make a donation, check out our team donation page. Thanks for considering donating to this worthy cause on behalf of Bold Technologies.
